Sangiang Island Nature
Park is located in the Village
Cikoneng, District Anyer, Serang, Banten province.
From the Serang city, the capital city
of Banten province, visitors can take a bus or private vehicle towards
the direction of Cilegon. Then, proceed to Anyer,
and stopped at
the beach in the
Manuk Cikoneng village. Manuk Coast, proceed with
boat or motor
boat ride to the island Sangiang which is takes about an hour. The area is known
as the Seven Wonders of Banten (Seven
Wonders of Banten) combines natural attractions, historical, and scientific tourism where this area there
are has a variety of rare flora and fauna.
Moreover, it is also has a variety of rich ecosystems such as coral reefs,
mangroves (mangrove), and coastal forests. On the
northwest side and the southern
island of Sangiang, and along of Batu Mandi Beach and Mount Gede it is provide a tourism area which is provide the nature, challenging and exciting. A vast region and
is supported by a
variety of terrain contours, giving enough
space for visitors to do various activities, such
as cross country sports,
hiking, down the valley, biking, camping, shooting, and enjoy the panoramic coastline and
steep ramps. For
the tourists that have hobby for scuba diving, snorkeling, sunbathing, fishing, boating, and see
the beauty of coral reefs and marine parks with a
glass bottom boat, it is recommended
to visit the Tanjung
Raden, Legon Waru,
and the southern ocean waters contained in Sangiang
Island. To enjoy
historical tours, visitors can visit the area around the
Navy Pos. There, visitors can still see remnants
of the Second World War, such as
cannon and bastion
of the Japanese army of invasion of the
Allies.
